Job Description Job duties and responsibilities:
The IT Support Specialist will support 120+ staff members. The role assists the IT Manager and works independently on deskside support related tasks. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Responding to any and all IT related issues (hardware and software) within the office on a daily basis.
• Installation and configuration of new and existing workstations including boardroom set up and all required software application updates and patches.
• Maintenance and monitoring of computer networks and systems.
• Troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing and solving hardware or software problems.
• Providing helpdesk support within the office for our employees in an efficient and timely manner.
• New user onboarding, including account creation and accessing administrative IT panels for account set-up.
• Network project creation.
• MS SharePoint project creation.
• On premise and VM server administration assistance.
• Liaise with our managed-service provider (MSP) on outsourced tasks.

Education:
Undergraduate or college degree in computer science, computer programming, computer engineering, information technology or similar strongly preferred

Certifications or professional designations:
IT systems and network certifications are an asset, particularly in CompTIA A+ (or commensurate demonstrated experience) and AWS for Developers.

Years of experience:
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in user technical support services
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience providing Tier 2 level technical support in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction (AEC) sector to ensure familiarity with AEC software and applications

Skills/Assets:
• Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to triage and prioritize multiple requests while problem-solving urgent IT issues
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills with clear verbal and written communication
• Mandatory demonstrated experience with the following software:
o Autodesk AEC Collection (including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
o Visualization and Design software including: Rhino, Sketchup, Lumion, VRay, Enscape, MicroStation, ProjectWise, etc.
o Bluebeam (including Admin Panel)
o 3CX VOiP (including Admin Panel)
o Trakstar (including Admin Panel)
o Windows Domain (hybrid) administration
o Microsoft Entra administration
o M365 (including Admin Panel) includes SharePoint Modern and Classic
o Office 365 support and troubleshooting
• ConnectWise (including Admin Panel) includes AUTOMATE, MANAGE, and LABTECH
