Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support corporate finance decisions. This position requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead budgeting processes, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with corporate financial goals.
• Perform financial auditing to ensure integrity in financial reporting and adherence to internal controls.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Utilize accounting software such as Xero and Sage for efficient financial management and reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proven experience in an accounting supervisory role or similar position within financial services or corporate finance environments.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting processes, account analysis, financial auditing, and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QB) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
