Job Description:



Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers

Oversee kitchen operations

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

May set up and oversee buffets

May clean kitchen and work area

May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and

costs, and monitor and order supplies

May hire and train kitchen staff.
Job Description Requirements

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food industry is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate is required

Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure.

Salary: $23.25 hourly, 30 - 35 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The worker must work 6 to 7 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week. Shifts are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00

p.m., with some longer shifts depending on events. Work on weekends, nights and holidays will

be required.
