Oakville-based family is presently seeking an experienced caregiver to care for their school-age son.  The position is expected to commence ASAP. Childcare will take place in the employer's home.  

Personal Skills:  Reliability; Effective interpersonal skills; Team player; Excellent oral communication; Judgement and intuitiveness; and Flexibility.    

Specific Skills: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; prepare child for rest periods; tend to emotional well-being of child; supervise and care for child; prepare and serve nutritious meals; bathe, instruct child in personal hygiene and social development; and accompany child to and from school, activities and appointments.   

Additional Skills: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, incidental to the care of the child;  and assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.

Education:   Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience required.

Experience: At least 2 years of childcare or related experience is required.  

Other Requirements:  Criminal record check required.

Language: English

Hours: Full-Time

Wage: Higher of $15/hour or Prevailing Wage
