Togo Sushi UBC is looking for 2 new members to join our restaurant!

 

Job Description

#1 Position: First Cook (Permanent)

Wage: $16 to $18 per hour

Working hours: 40 hrs/week, Shifted (including weekends)

Employer: Togo Sushi UBC

Working Location: 3380 Shrum Lane, Vancouver, B.C., V6S 0B9

Available Position: 1

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Duties:

-       Prepare sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes

-       Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food

-       Clean, cut, carve, season, cook, and arrange portions of foods

-       Maintain inventory records of food, supplies and equipment

-       Inspect and clean kitchen, work areas, and service areas

-       Maintain food safety, high standards of sanitation and cleanliness

Qualifications:

-       Completion of secondary school education

-       Minimum 1 years of working experience in cooking is required

-       Basic in English is must 

 

 

#2 Position: Third Cook (Permanent)

Wage: $18 to $20 per hour

Working hours: 40 hrs/week, Shifted (including weekends)

Employer: Togo Sushi UBC

Working Location: 3380 Shrum Lane, Vancouver, B.C., V6S 0B9

Available Position: 1

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Duties:

-       Plan menus and determine size of food portions

-       Estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies and equipment

-       Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

-       Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to improve their culinary skills on preparing Japanese cuisine

-       Prepare sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes

-       Maintain inventory records of food, supplies and equipment

-       Inspect and clean kitchen, work areas, and service areas

-       Maintain food safety, high standards of sanitation and cleanliness

Qualifications:

-       Completion of secondary school education

-       Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in cooking is required

-       Basic in English is must
