Taro’s Fish Inc. located at 800 Sheppard Ave. East, Toronto Ontario is looking for a “Japanese Seafood Cook” for a salary of; ?$18.00 per hour for 40.0 hours per week.

Qualifications;

·         Must have a minimum of one year or more of experience in preparing and cooking Japanese seafood (raw and deep fried seafood)

·         Must be able to work weekends and overtime as assigned

·         Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment

·         Completion of secondary (high) school is preferred

·         Basic oral English is required

• Prepare sushi and sashimi bento boxes for take-out orders for in-store customers
• Prepare sushi and sashimi orders and cook Japanese cuisine for groups, parties, banquets and other catering functions
• Maintain an inventory record of various types of fresh fish and seafood and discuss with management what types of fish are required for re-stocking the store supplies
• Train new kitchen staff, when needed
• Supervise the kitchen staff in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling of food, when required
• Check food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
