Currently, we are looking for two Early Childhood Educator Assistants who are willing to be the team members and conducting all duties related to this position.

Shift: 35 hours/Week

Job Description

Main duties:

  • Assist early childhood educator to provide outstanding care for the children and ensure their needs are met (social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional),
  • Maintain and demonstrate professional practices and ethics at all times,
  • Help the children in your care feel safe, comfortable, and nurtured,
  • Document children's learning and incorporate this in programming,
  • Plan and assess  activities based on children abilities, interests, needs and discuss development or problems with parents,
  • Serve meals and assist children with eating,
  • Engage with families to exchange the latest information on their child during pick up / drop off and via daycare software,
  • May help early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records,
  • Ensure the environment is safe, secure, and well maintained by ensuring proper use of equipment and reporting any required maintenance,
  • Engage  with children  by telling stories, teaching and singing songs , preparing crafts,
  • Organize, clean, and sanitize as required to maintain a healthy environment,
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits,

  

Qualifications & Skills

·         Completion of secondary school is required

·         1-2 years of work experience in childcare is required
