Company Profile: Bell 2 Lodge is a full-service lodge on Highway 37 in Northern BC. In the winter, the lodge is home to Last Frontier Heliskiing, a small group heliskiing operation in Northern British Columbia. In the summer, it offers travelers a pit-stop on their way to Alaska. The remote lodge is completely off the grid and located in a remote setting. We are seeking a responsible and skilled Building Superintendent to oversee the daily maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our off-the-grid property.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Oversee and monitor water treatment systems, wastewater management, and power generation, including making minor repairs and maintenance.
Contact and coordinate tradespersons for major repairs when needed.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repairs, and general upkeep.
Respond promptly to repair requests and maintenance concerns.
Conduct daily inspections of building systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
Ensure security and safety measures are in place and followed throughout the property.
Move and transport heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies when required.
Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff.
Job Description Qualifications & Skills:
3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a skilled trade.
High school education, trade certificate preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
Experience with off-the-grid operations such as water treatment, wastewater management and power generating systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle minor repairs independently.
Ability to work efficiently and respond promptly to maintenance issues.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
Valid Drivers license
Experience operating a backhoe and loader preferred.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Proven ability to perform work both indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to various weather conditions.
