Job Description:



Transport items throughout plant using powered equipment (electric dolly)

Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually

Check and weigh materials and products: count, sort, and clean worms in boxes

Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers

Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products: pick and pack worms into smaller or larger containers and boxes

Load, unload and transfer boxes of worms, may or may not be palletized

Load and unload bedding for worms using electrical pallet

Unpack worms, change bedding, and repackage worms

Clean machines and immediate work areas

Clean and maintain equipment

Assist with general maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools

Perform other labouring and elemental activities

Job Description Requirements:



Education: Some secondary school is required.

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Personal suitability: Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Accurate.

Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs.)

Language: Basic level of English is required



Salary: $20.00 hourly, 40 – 44 hours per week.



Benefits: Accommodation available at a cost. Transportation between work locations provided. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate.



Important Information: Work schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Overtime and work during weekends may be required depending on the business needs. **We guarantee a minimum of 40 hours of work per week during the winter months**
