Work Location: Candidates are required to work various routes, routes vary considerably; routes include travel through the province of British Columbia, across Canada. Travel may also through various towns, cities and provinces in Canada.
Wage rate: $29.00 per hour for 40 hours per week.
Education: Secondary school
Experience: No experience required
Job Requirement: Driver license (Class 1 or A)
Language: English
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Ensure safety and security of cargo.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute and post trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Record cargo information, Hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day, evening, night, overtime or on weekends, if required.
