Job Description:
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
Prepare food order summaries for chef
Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
Establish work schedules and procedures
May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
May plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labour costs

Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food preparation or as a supervisor in a restaurant is required. If the candidate does not have 2 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or a related discipline is required.

Language: English is required.
Salary: $17.00 hourly, 40 - 44 hours per week

Important information: The workers will work five to six days a week on a rotational basis. 6 to 8-hour shifts will be scheduled between 11 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Sunday to Thursday; and between 11 a.m. and 01:00 am, Fridays and Saturdays. Flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs. Work on weekends is required. Overtime may be required depending on the business needs.
