Job Description DUTIES:
Sand wooden surfaces, then apply veneer, stain, or shine to final products.
Study plans, specifications, or drawings of products to be manufactured, or prepare specifications.
Mark the outline or dimensions of pieces on wood.
Use power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, as well as hand tools, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
Trim joints and put parts and subassemblies together to produce a complete assembly using glue and clamps. Reinforce joints using nails, screws, or other fasteners.
Repair or redesign wooden furniture, fixtures, and associated things.
