Type of Employment: Full time – Seasonal/ 8-month-contract

Job Duties:

Load, and unload construction materials

Assist heavy equipment operators

Level earth to fine grade specifications

Assist staff installing transformer bases, streetlight bases, communication bases, pulling electrical and communications cables, and ducts.

Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Work under pressure, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Overtime

Driver’s license is an asset. If the selected candidate has a valid driver’s license, a company vehicle will be provided for work related tasks and limited personal usage.

Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy, Dangerous, Outdoors, Odours

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Language: Basic level of English is required.

Salary: $22.66 hourly, 30 - 60 hours per week

Important Information: Work schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. However, flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs and weather. **We guarantee at least 30 hours of work per week regardless of the weather. Overtime is required.
