Job Details QG Meat Ltd. is a prominent meat supplier in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). With over 15 years of expertise in the wholesale meat industry, catering to both supermarkets and restaurant chains, we are expanding our operations and seeking to hire two full-time Meat cutters.

Position title: Meat cutter
Position type: Full-time Permanent
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: $19.50-$21.00 per hour

Personal Suitability:
Ability to work safely with sharp tools, ability to stand for extended periods, ability to work in low temperatures; must have strong manual skills.

Job Duties:
• clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting;
• grind meats using appropriate equipment;
• cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat;
• skin and cut poultry into parts;
• weigh, package, label and price meat and meat products;
• inspect the quality of meat, verify expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation;
• maintain equipment and ensure an optimal work area;
• receive and store merchandise in accordance with the company's established standards;
• comply with government health and safety standards and occupational health and safety standards

Qualifications:
• Secondary (High) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Some previous experience as meat cutter will be an asset
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Self-motivation with positive attitude
• Excellent hand-eye coordination skills
• Available to work with a flexible schedule including after hours and/or weekends if needed.
