Job Details Experienced and compassionate caregiver required for private home, located in Thornhill, ON.

1-2 years of experience working with seniors or with people with severe disabilities
Secondary school diploma required
First AID/ CPR certification preferred
Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and organizational skills
Patience, compassion and sensitivity to elderly people with special needs

Main Duties

Administer bedside and personal care
Administer medications
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Change non-sterile dressings
Feed or assist in feeding
Launder clothing and household linens
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Plan therapeutic diets and menus
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Weight handling: 45-60 kg (100-132 lbs)

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses
CPR Certificate
First Aid Certificate

Language Requirements: English

Terms of employment: full-time, permanent position

Hourly rate: $19.00. Working Hours: 42 hours per week

Overtime rate: $28.50 paid after 44 hours per week
