Job Duties:

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

General cleanup and preparation of the areas in which work is proceeding

Job Description Requirements

Education: Completion of secondary school is required

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not

have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program is required.

Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Manual dexterity, Repetitive tasks.

Personal suitability: Accurate, Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, Judgement, Reliability, Team player, Organized, Initiative.

Weight Handling: Up to 23kg (50lbs)

Work Site Environment: At height, Noisy, Outdoors.

Language: English is required

Salary: $28.00 hourly, 40 – 42.5 hours per week

Important Information: The employee will work 8 hours per day. Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the schedule includes 30 min of paid lunch and 30 min of unpaid break time. Overtime may be required.
