Job Description [eneral duties as]
• Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
• Establish work priorities, delegate work to office support staff, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
• Carry out administrative activities associated with admissions to post-secondary educational institutions
• Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
• Coordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services
• Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes
• Assist in preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
• Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
• May supervise records management technicians and related staff.
• An Administrative Officer regularly performs tasks such as creating, reviewing, and editing documents, and managing records for the organization. These tasks are primarily carried out electronically.
• An Administrative Officer adjusts meeting and event schedules and coordinates schedules for leaders and other staff members within the organization.
• An Administrative Officer communicates with internal and external customers and stakeholders using telephone and email.
• An Administrative Officer manages the organization's budget, including planning and preparing audit reports.
• An Administrative Officer handles employee recruitment and personnel-related tasks, such as addressing salary, welfare, and other human resources-related issues.
• An Administrative Officer works with other departments within the organization to provide other necessary administrative support for the smooth progress of work. These tasks are generally diverse depending on the needs of the organization.
