Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Type of glass/materials: Acrylic plexiglass, Float glass, Mirrors, Sealed units

Work setting:
Commercial, Residential, Own tools/equipment, Steel-toed safety boots

Installation specialization:
Skylights and slope glazed installations, Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems, Shower doors and tub enclosures, Walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions)

Tasks:
Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Repair glass doors and other glass structures, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment, Transport cases of glass

Glass cutting equipment and techniques:
Cutting wheels, Self-lubricating cutters, Circular cutters, Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts), Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts), Edge glass plates

Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
