Job Description:



· Provide support with general morning and evening routines

· Provide physical support, assist with sitting and standing, walking around, or lying down

· Weigh, lift, turn and position clients

· Make beds, clean the clients’ suits and maintain clients' rooms

· Bathe, dress and groom patients

· Health checks: take clients' blood pressure using a blood pressure machine, temperature and pulse

· Administer medications

· Check sugars in diabetics

· Empty cathier bags

· Visit clients

· May administer first aid in emergency situations

· Read prescriptions

· Document clients’ care and write reports

· Maintain inventory of supplies

Job Description Requirements:



-Education: Some secondary school education is required.

-Experience: A minimum of 7 months to 1 year of experience as a home support worker is required

A first aid certificate is an asset

Driver’s licence is an asset

Salary: $19.00- $19.50 hourly, 30- 40 hours per week



Benefits: Uniforms. Transportation costs are covered if the worker needs to relocate.



Important Information:

Flexibility in schedule is required. The work schedule is from Monday to Sunday, 5 to 12 hours daily, from 7 am to 4.30 pm, then 4.30 pm to 10 pm and 11 pm to 3 am. Weekend work and work at night will be required. On-call work may be required.
