Job Duties:

Operate and drive tractor-trailers to transport goods
Ensure the safety and security of cargo
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Answer clients’ inquiries when transporting goods and address customers' complaints or concerns
Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained during the workday and are available for inspection upon request by management and/or state traffic safety officers
Apply knowledge of driving and/or commercial driving skills in maneuvering in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, or tight loading dock areas.
Load and unload goods
Pay and receive payments for goods
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Fueling

Job Description Requirements

- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

- Experience: A minimum of 7 months of experience is required.

- Be eligible to obtain a class 1 MELT license

Salary: $28.00- $29.00 per hour, 40 hours per week

Important information: The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 04:00 PM. However, flexibility on schedule is required. Work on weekends may be required depending on the business needs. Overtime may be required.
