Job Details Hidden Valley Resort is looking for Front Desk Receptionist. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and team player. Weekend and evening availability is a must.
You will meet, greet, manage the reservations, check-in and check-out Guests, collecting deposits and payments.

Job Description Responsibilities
• Handling all incoming and outgoing reservations requests on the phones;
• Ensuring your reservations and information is correct with the future guest, information the guest of all policies...ie, cancellation, check in time and check out time;
• Answer the phones promptly (within 3 rings) and courteously;
• Complete daily reservation count for arrivals and departures to direct actions in selling rooms;
• Registrar all incoming guests, obtaining all pertinent information. Complete registration card and establish method of payment;
• Accept and record payment on guests accounts and provide change for guests;
• Provide all information to all guests in a courteous and informative manner. Do not volunteer information about guests or employees- Only indicate whether or not they can be reached;
• Prepare daily cash out report. Balance payments and disbursements with machine totals, prepare the deposit slip, and provide the Guest services/ Front office manager with a summary of your daily float count;
• Do a bucket check by doing the following:
o Maintain a neat registration rack “Bucket”;
o Ensure that correct rates are being charged;
o Ensure the correct departure dates are shown;
o Maintain control over out-of-order rooms;
o Carry out flagged instructions which may appear on reg card;
o Check the housekeeping ready room board against the bucket to ensure that they coincide with the room occupancy;
• Maintain a neat and tidy Front Office;
• Maintain a neat and tidy Gift shop;
• Give special attention to internal messages for other departments. Ensure prompt delivery;
• Handle complaints courteously. Relay them through the Manager for appropriate action, and enter then on the complaint contact log;
• Monitor lost and found by taking relevant messages and direct to housekeeping department;
• Discuss possible emergency situations with your manager;
• Inform the next shift on all important facts and information..

High School diploma
Computer literacy

Professional attitude and appearance
Must be able to maintain standards under variable conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works inside year round
Must be able to walk and stand for an average of 8 hours per shift
Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Office environment, often very hectic, customers lined up, phones ringing, etc. Many priorities demanding attention at the same time. Works days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
