Job Details Blanchard’s Heating & Cooling Ltd. is looking for full time Refrigeration Technician at 26 Broadway, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 4C4, Canada. There are 3 positions available.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week Mon-Fri (overtime pay will be paid). Pay is $28.00 per hour. Successful candidates must speak English. Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program or more is required. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience.

Job Description Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Measure and lay out reference points for installation
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
• Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
• Install and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Trouble shoot self contained coolers, freezers, ice machines, supermarket racks, roof top HVAC units , air handling units and ductless mini splits.
• Start-up system and test for leaks using testing devices
• Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
• Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
• Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning of drains, condensors and evapotors for refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• May install, maintain and repair equipment in refrigerated trucks used to transport food or medical supplies
• May prepare work estimates for clients.
