Job Details Davis Chevrolet GMC Buick Brooks Ltd. is seeking qualified Journeyman Automotive Service Technicians to join their busy dealership in Brooks, Alberta. The successful candidates will work with us on a permanent, full-time basis.
Location of Work: 504 2 Street West, Brooks, AB T1R 0E9

Wages: $28.85 per hour
Credentials: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification required

Job Description Job Duties:

• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck trailer systems
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components
• Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Estimate parts and labour costs
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Test and adjust units to specification
• Communicate with Service Advisors on work performed and future repair requirements
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Coad and instruct apprentices
• Review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor
• Provide customer service
