CAREGIVER – HOME CHILD CARE PROVIDER
Job Title: Home Child Care provider

Salary: $15.65 per hour

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Full Time)
Benefits: 10 days paid vacation or 4% Vacation Pay, 5 days paid sick leave, WCB Coverage
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee, supervise, and care for our children as per our instructions.
• Arrange and organize activities for the children
• Guide them in personal hygiene such as bathing and brushing teeth.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment while we are at work or away
• Follow house rules as requested by parents.
• Provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment for the children
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings. (Montessori practices for learning, with minimal screen time).
• Provide and assist with the care of the children with and without us at home
• Pick up kids from school or daycare if needed (walking distance)
• Go on walks and park outings with kids
• Follow schedules laid out by parents
• Prepare & serve milk, snacks, meals
• Bathing and dressing children
• Light housekeeping duties (dishes, laundry, wipe down kitchen, sanitize toys.)
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support social development
• May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Language: English
Work Experience: At least one-year caregiving experience, including at least 6 months of continuous employment for the same employer, OR at least 6 months training as a caregiver that must have been full-time training in a classroom setting.
