Job Location: 4088 Macdonald St, Vancouver, BC V6L 2N8

Working hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4% gross salary

Job Description Job Duties:
• Be responsible for daily sanitation; clean and sterilize grooming equipment and supplies such as tubs, cages, grooming area etc.
• Discuss pets’ health condition and desired groom with clients and report to groomers.
• Inspect pet’s skin conditions and health concerns such as allergies, sores, illness, and report to groomers
• Assist the grooming process such as bathing pets, clipping nails, grooming coats, drying, etc. when needed
• Recognize and record unusual condition or abnormal behavior of grooming pet, report to owners immediately
• Provide water and food to pets when necessary
• Accommodate clients’ special requests
• Ensure pets’ safety in store
• Communicate with clients about their feedback on the services; identify individual client needs and report to the owners
• Release pets to their owners and ensure duty of care is met prior to release
• Refill daily supplies such as shampoo, ear cleanser etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Completion of post-secondary education in veterinary or related field
• Experience in a medical setting preferred, veterinary is ideal
• Preference given to having experience in a customer service role
• Pet lover is preferred
• Language: Good at English listening and speaking
• Strong ability to multitask
• Patient and proactive
