Job Description Who we are:

espy experience is a service-oriented fashion destination providing a luxury client experience at an affordable price for everyone. We style outfits from casual denim to designer suits, considering clients’ lifestyles and bodies in a way that allows them to showcase their best selves.

The role:

espy experience (“espy”) is a growing fashion retailer that is beginning to create private label brands for clothing and footwear to sell within espy and to other retailers.

espy requires a Designer and Production Coordinator to fulfill the following duties to develop items for the store and ensure their quality. This person will also be a part of the larger espy team and must be able to multi-task, wear many hats, and perform other duties within the business such as styling and selling and visual work.

We have started making clothing and shoes for espy in Brazil, Canada, Spain and Italy and need a person to lead communication, quality control, sampling, and production for this area of the business.

Main Duties:

Design and create items for private label items for espy including but not limited to:
apparel for men and women
footwear for men and women
Create patterns and technical drawings for men’s and women’s apparel for production facilities
Communicate with production facilities regarding all sampling and production for espy private label goods
Oversee all production of private label items for espy including but not limited to:
apparel for men and women
footwear for men and women
Work directly via email, telephone, Zoom, Skype and WhatsApp with production facilities in Brazil, Spain, Canada, and Italy to ensure proper items are produced
Manage quality of samples and production quality control including but not limited to:
examining all samples, making required changes and communicating to the factory any changes
approving final samples for production
examining all production for quality for sale at retail
Other Duties (as required):

Styling women and men on the retail floor of espy
Operational support for receiving and quality checking merchandise
Visual team support to help espy stay looking its best
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Clothing Design or a related field
3 years of design and production experience
Previous work with apparel factories
English language required (French is asset to this position)
Ability to adapt and do multiple duties for a growing business
Careful attention to detail is a must
Creative ability as demonstrated by a portfolio of work
