- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;

- Completion of secondary (high) school is required;

- 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a pastry chef is required

Job Description

Job duties: 

- Cook and prepare specialty foods on a regular basis;

- Bake and prepare pastries on a regular basis:

- Prepare specialty drinks and soft serve desserts on a regular basis;

- Cook and prepare specialty foods such as Kitsune Soba, Tonkotsu Red, Salmon Poke, and Unagi Dashi Chazuke;

- Bake and prepare pastries such as Yuzu Rare Cheesecake, Matcha Rare Cheesecake, Kinako Daifuku, and Matcha Daifuku;    

- Prepare soft serve desserts such as Matcha Float, Houjicha Float, Yuzu Citron Parfait, Houjicha Shaved Ice, and Matcha Frappe;

- Prepare drinks such as Houjicha, Sencha, Genmaicha, Kinako Kuromitsu Latte, Azuki Matcha Latte, Houjicha Latte, and O-Matcha Latte;

- Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and garnishing and presentation of food;

- Create new recipes;

- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances;

- Supervise other kitchen staff;

- Requisition food, kitchen supplies and equipment;

- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;

- Analyze operating costs and other data
