Qualification:
- Ability to communicate orally in English is required;
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as kitchen staff or a cook is required;
- Work experience in cooking Japanese cuisine is an asset
Job duties:
- Prepare ingredients and cook stock, soup and sauce for ramen dishes;
- Boil ramen noodles, make and present ramen dishes;
- Prepare and make toppings for ramen dishes such as Chashu (slow cooked pork) and marinated egg;
- Prepare and present side dishes such as Chicken Karaage, Gyoza and rice bowl dishes;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
- Supervise kitchen helpers;
- Monitor for quality of the dishes according to the quality standards of Ramen Misoya;
- Maintain inventory and records of foods/ingredients supplies and equipment;
- Place orders for foods/ingredients supplies and equipment as necessary;
- Clean, sanitize, organize and inspect kitchen and work areas
