Brampton-based family is presently seeking an experienced personal worker to care for their adult son with a disability.  The position is expected to commence ASAP.  Care will take place in the employer's home. 

Personal Skills:  

Reliability; Effective interpersonal skills; Team player; Excellent oral communication; Judgement and intuitiveness; and Flexibility.   

Specific Skills:

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; prepare person for rest periods; supervise and provide personal care prepare and serve nutritious meals; bathe, dress and feed; support personal hygiene requirements; accompany person to outside activities and appointments (as necessary).  

Additional Skills:

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties incidental to the care;

Education: 
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.

Experience: 

At least 1 year of experience.

Other Requirements:  Criminal record check required.

Language: English

Hours: Full-Time

Wage: Higher of $16.50/hour or Prevailing Wage
