OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR/MARBLE SETTING FOREMAN (FOREWOMAN)

Due to business expansion and upcoming construction projects, G.Q Stone Works Ltd. - a reputable company specialized in countertops vanities and backsplashes in Port Coquitlam, BC is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor/Marble Setting Foreman (Forewoman).

Position is permanent and full-time (30 hr per/wk) $35 pr/hr.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule operations related to design, cutting , polishing , finishing and installing stone countertops in residential and commercial settings 
• Develop and coordinate work schedules and for production with other subcontractors
• Resolve work problems and recommend changes to improve productivity and product quality
• Generate Purchase Orders for materials and supplies
• Train polishers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend hiring and promotion of staff
• Prepare work productivity and status report on outstanding jobs
• Assist in managing the shop operations
•  Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of other shop employees

Requirement:

·       Education: Secondary high school

·       2+ years of experience in similar setting in a supervisor role.
