A&W is looking to fill in a permanent, full time, position of Food Service Supervisor [NOC 6311] to work along with our Restaurant Manager.

Compensation for this position is CAN $15.00 per hour. 40 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

-  At least 2 years’ experience in food services industry is required;

- Several years of work experience in the  hospitality industry experience is required;

-  Formal training and education in the food industry is preferable;

-  Good communication skills, positive attitude to work and people management skills;

-  Must speak English;

-  Ideal applicant must be available to work on any scheduled, rotational or call in shifts which includes weekends, nights and mornings;

-  Able to work under pressure and time constraint in fast paced environment;

-  Candidate must have completed food safety course

Job Description

Job duties for this position include:

Ø   Day to day operations of the restaurant;

 

Ø   Schedule, supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the restaurant staff;

 

Ø   Establish methods to meet work schedules;

 

Ø   Resolve  customer  complaints   as  well  as  conflicts  among  staff  and  ensure maximum customer satisfaction;

 

Ø   Supervise     staff     duties     which    include     delegation,     scheduling,     evaluating, interviewing, training and mentoring responsibilities;

 

Ø   Train staff in job sanitation and safety procedures;

 

Ø   Estimate and order ingredients and supplies

 

Ø   Maintain an inventory of supplies;

 

Ø   Ensure  that  all  restaurant  equipment   and  gadgets  is  in  safe  and  working condition and take care of maintenance and repair of equipment;

 

Ø   Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards;

 

Ø   Maintain a safe and clean restaurant in compliance with the restaurant’s food safety regulations;
