Salary: $15.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English orally is required
- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation is required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook in an established restaurant is required
- Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese Kaiseki Cuisine such as Kaiseki Kobachi, Sakizuke and Soba is an asset
Job Duties:
For Hot Kitchen Management:
- Schedule staff in Hot Kitchen;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order supplies and equipment;
- Clean and inspect kitchen and work areas
For Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook meals in course menu except Sushi and specialty foods (including "Hida Beef");
- Prepare and cook complete A La Carte dishes and foods with minimal supervision;
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food including but not limited to food specialities listed above
