LOKU Japanese Cuisine is looking for a new member to join our restaurant.

Position:  Cook

Available Position: 1

Type of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay

Working hours: 40 hours per week (including weekend)

Employer: Loku Japanese Cuisine

Location: 2280 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC, V5N 5P9, Canada

Duties but are not limited to the following:

-  Prepare traditional Japanese sushi rice, various types of sushi and sashimi dishes.

-  Expertly cut, slice, and fillet different types of fish.

-  Customize customers’ orders according to preferences and food allergy considerations.

-  Sterilize all utensils and equipment used in sushi and sashimi preparation.

-  Uphold and maintain food safety, high standards of sanitation.

-  Regularly take inventory of food supplies and other products.

-  Train kitchen staff to improve their culinary skills on preparing Japanese cuisine.

Qualifications:

-  Must be Canadian Citizen or PR or legally authorized to work in Canada.

-  Completion of secondary school is required.

-  Several years of working experience in cooking industry is required.
