Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
- Completion of Secondary (high) school is required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook in a restaurant is required
- Work experience in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an asset
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals featuring Japanese and French cuisine and individual dishes such as hamburg steak, omu-rice, eggs benedict, chicken parmigiana and other Japanese and France fusion menus;
- Inspect and Clean kitchens, food service areas and work areas;
- Supervise and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
- Manage kitchen operations;
- Organize, manage and prepare for buffets, banquets and catering such as street food festivals and home parties;
- Prepare and make homemade desserts;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
