Salary: $15.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a cook in a restaurant is required
Job duties:
- Prepare, cook, and present following Japanese dishes with minimal supervision: sashimi, sushi, Aburi(blow-torched sushi), Oshizushi (pressed sushi), sushi roll; hot and cold appetizers such as miso soup and salad; deep fried dishes such as Nanban and Agedashi; and grilled fish collar;
- Suggest/plan new menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
- Estimate food requirements and costs;
- Order supplies and equipment;
- Train new staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Schedule staff;
- Clean and Inspect kitchen and work areas
